We specialize in orthopedics and sports injuries. We enjoy the challenge of finding the source of the pain or dysfunction rather than just chasing your symptoms. We strongly feel the need to treat the whole body due to the interplay of regions in the body. We use the SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) which systematically finds the mobility or motor control issue. This approach to evaluation and assessment often leads us to discover underlying problems such as dysfunctional core recruitment related to faulty breath patterns and alignment. For this reason, breathing and alignment are the core of our practice and the building blocks for our exercise prescription. Often the source of pain can be from an asymmetry in motor control or restrictions which can be addressed with therapeutic exercise and manual therapy. We are also trained in Blood flow restriction (BFR), which is a great tool to use to increase strength over a shorter period of time.
